The governments boiler scrappage scheme came to an end for new applications on 26th March. We at homeheat have seen the benefits the scheme has brought to households upgrading from the least efficient boilers. There was a strong demand for the £400 vouchers, so much in fact that the 125,000 vouchers were all applied for in less than three months!

It was hoped that the government would extend the scheme but no such offer was made during the recent pre-election budget. With an estimated 4 million 'G' rated boilers still in use we feel that some form of scrappage scheme should continue. We will therefore be offering our own boiler scrappage scheme soon which will provide a similar deal for those customers who want to improve their homes energy efficiency and potentially save a substantial amount on their annual gas bills.
